Settling in the San Francisco Bay Area at the age of 18, Kent went to work for a large jewelry chain and discovered the creative side of the jewelry business. The Gemological Institute of America, as well as many fine craftspeople, taught him most aspects of the jewelry trade and he started his own jewelry manufacturing business in 1966.
Kent's company initially produced merchandise for retail stores around the country. However for last 20 or so years they have primarily been a custom order jewelry design and manufacturing business.
Most of Kent's current clients are private individuals and his work has been featured on national and local television news shows. Word-of-Mouth recommendations, editorials in the jewelry buyers guides and Kent's reputation for creativity, keep the jewelry business thriving.
