A second life-long passion also started at an early age -- art. I took every art class possible. Settling in the San Francisco Bay Area at the age of 18, I went to work for a large jewelry chain and discovered the creative side of the jewelry business. The Gemological Institute of America, as well as many fine craftspeople, taught me most aspects of the jewelry business. I started a jewelry manufacturing business in 1966. We produced merchandise for stores around the country. The last 20 years I have been a custom order designer and a small-run manufacturer. Now most of my clients are private individuals. My work has been featured on local television news shows and in buyers' guides advising consumers that we were an ideal place to purchase jewelry.
