Kent Jacobson

Although I have produced bronzes, my favorite sculpturing medium is cast granite because it allows me to feature glass eyes. I believe the eyes are the most distinctive characteristic of the finished work.

My subjects are sculpted in clay then rubber molded and cast using the lay-up method. Although the subjects are made from a mold, I form, texture and paint each one individually. No two are alike. The lay-up method keeps the weight down and allows for appendages.
